REVIEW: COSRX Centella Blemish Ampule

Ah, summer, isn't it the nicest season of all? Underboob sweat, heinous wasps, sticky layers of sunscreen, smelly BBQs, the gassy death orb in the sky making your skin age prematurely...

But don't worry, there's one thing, that won't add to the dilemma of this unnecessarily hot season and also, this thing will provide you with intense hydration, yet not be greasy at all.
Of course I'm talking about the Centella Blemish Ampule by one of our all time favorites – COSRX.

But first, let me tell you a little bit, why COSRX decided to use Centella. What is Centella? Can you eat it? Is it a fruit? What?

Well, firstly, I think it's important to know that Centella is a plant, to be exact Centella Asiatica. All across Asia it is a very common ingredient in cuisine and also in traditional medicine. Since it's able to grow pretty much everywhere where it is warm and moist, it's very inbound into many cultures in Asia. It's a unremarkable plant and you would probably mark it as a weed if you'd see it but it's far from a weed. Of course, companies noticed the plants potential and researched it's properties. This unremarkable plant is a tiny wonder it combines many benefits for healthy skin in one, for example it helps to improve the healing of small wounds, (sun)burns, scaring, skin elasticity (because it helps the formation of collagen, duh), cellulite... Should I go on? Let's just call this plant a present of the goddess of beauty. (Or god, whatever floats your boat)

If you count one and one together, you'll see it makes for a very good anti aging and regeneration remedy. And as we all know, you can never start too early with anti-aging. This is why I, at my humble age of 22 reviewed this product for you. You're welcome.

Review

Fistly, I like to mention that I love the packaging. It's very simplistic and as I like to call it clean it's just this tiny glass bottle filled with slightly green fluid. And you know, if the packaging doesn't scream BUY ME! the chances for it being a good product are high.
It's also not too pricey, it's an adequate price for the amount of product you get and it lasts you a long time, since you only use a few drops every time you use it.

You know, I tried so many different moisturizers or skin stabilizers that I don't even know anymore, how many I've tried. All of them left a film on my skin, mucky yucky grimy stuff.-BLECH! I hate that, especially in summer, where you sweat your ass off anyways you don't need this extra layer of fatty residue on your skin. Also, most of the time the other products made me break out or just didn't do anything at all. My skin is very bitchy and I have not yet found out why. Also I have a condition called Hypertrichosis which adds to my skin sensitivity. I have a mixture of very oily skin on my nose and in between my brows, dry to oily skin on my forehead (Don't ask) and some 'normal' skin on my cheeks. When talking about my under eye area, we have to whisper because it may get scared and hurt itself, that's how sensitive it is.

I've always just wanted something to help my skin regenerate and soothe my very sensitive areas.

I've been using the ampule for about 4+ weeks now, so I can definitely judge it's impact on my skin. I use it twice a day, I cleanse, apply it, brush my teeth and continue my errands.  Not even 10 minutes.

I did not break me out at all. It also never irritated my skin and it supported my skin greatly when it was under a lot of stress. I have since noticed that my skin type evened out a lot, my nose isn't a greasy fry anymore and the flaky skin around my nostrils is mostly gone.
I have scars on my chin my my upper neck area and a lot of their purple-ness vanished. Some small wrinkles on my fore head got evened out as well.
Have I mentioned the BEST THING about this product? It sinks into your skin in a matter of minutes and leaves no residue at all. It made me so happy, because now I don't feel like I'm wearing a face condom anymore.

I would say it's most certainly worth buying it. It is not aggressive or harsh on your skin. It smells of almost nothing, which I personally like a lot.
The only downside may be that it takes a while for you to notice anything different in your skin. In my opinion it's still an amazing product I would not want to give away anymore.
And also if you're not used to fluid cosmetic products, it might challenge you to apply it at first.

You can of course buy it at our shop

Let us know what you think of the product!

Nice review! I was thinking about buying this ampoule, since I also have sensitive acne-prone skin. Thank you for the article and keep up the good work!

Have you ever thought of putting wine on your face? No? Me neither. The consistency makes it a bit difficult. I’d rather just drink it and complain to my girl friends about stupid boys and later have a guilt trip for no reason at all. I’m wandering off, I’m sorry.
